Bury Ditches       

An Iron Age Hill Fort is 2.5 miles away taking 5 mins by car or about a 1 hours steep walk. There are lovely views on the way to and from the Hill Fort. Free Entry.


An Historic small town is 2.5 miles away. Taking 5 mins by car or about a 45 min level walk by road or a steeper but very picturesque walk through the woods taking about 75 mins. Clun has its own Norman Castle ruins and a number of Tea Shops, a small Supermarket, a Newsagents and 2 Pubs. The White Horse (01588 640305) and The Sun (01588 640559). Clun has a number of events throughout the year including The Green Man Festival, Beer Festival and Clun Carnival.

Craven Arms

A larger town is 7 miles away taking 15 mins by car. It has a number of shops, pubs, takeaways and Banks. There are a some really interesting places to visit including the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, Land of The Lost Content and Stokesay Castle.


A lovely Norman Town is 14 miles away taking 20mins by car. Ludlow has lots to see and do with its 900 year old castle, mid week farmers market and historic wooden framed buildings. It has a number of pubs and restaurants with seven having a Michelin listing.

Church Stratton

An historic market town is 14 miles away taking 20mins by car. Nestled in the South Shropshire hills the scenery and views are beautiful. The town itself has a number of interesting shops, pubs and restaurants. Just outside of Church Stretton is Acton Scott Historic Working Farm used in the BBC TV series 'Victorian Farm'.
